The event celebrates the best in New York State wine, food and beer. Approximately 50 growers and producers from across the state will offer the public a unique opportunity to taste and purchase award-winning wines and beers as well as various food samples from all across the state.
The Syracuse event will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 3 and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 4 at the New York State Fairgrounds in the Horticulture Building. This year’s event will also feature live entertainment provided by New Day Band.

Admission includes a complimentary wine or beer glass, tasting samples and an opportunity to win the “Pride of New York Basket of Bounty.” The Basket of Bounty will feature a large collection of New York State wine, beer, marinades, honey, maple products, baked goods and more provided by exhibitors from across the state.
“At last week’s Wine, Beer and Spirits Summit, Governor Cuomo demonstrated a remarkable commitment to promoting the growth of New York State-based industries,” said Commissioner Aubertine. “Harvest Fest brings New York’s growing wine and beer industries together with a variety of New York-based food exhibitors. Come one and come all, because this year’s Harvest Fest is shaping up to be the best one yet.”

“The Pride of New York Harvest Fest is a wonderful opportunity for people to sample some of the tastiest things farmers have to offer,” said Dean Norton, New York Farm Bureau President. “It also highlights the benefits of buying local and supporting local agriculture in this state, the backbone of the rural economy. Commissioner Aubertine and the State of New York should be commended for once again throwing a great event for all to enjoy.”
“We’re delighted that the Department of Agriculture & Markets is again sponsoring the Pride of New York Harvest Fest at the State Fair, and that New York wineries will be an integral part of it,” said Jim Trezise, President of the New York Wine and Grape Foundation. “Being able to connect directly with consumers is vital to the marketing of wine and the other farm products that will be showcased, and the late fall is a perfect time for New Yorkers to discover the wonderful bounty right from their own back yards. Commissioner Aubertine and the Department staff deserve enormous credit for their promotion of New York agriculture.”
