Pitbull Brings The Party to The State Fair Grandstand Stage Saturday, August 23
A Night of Hits Planned from “Mr. Worldwide”
International music superstar Pitbull brings a long list of familiar songs to the Great New York State Fair Grandstand on Saturday, August 23, Troy Waffner, Acting Fair Director, announced today. Tickets, priced at $57, $47, and $37 go on sale at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23 at the New York State Fair box office and through the Fair’s only official online ticket agent, etix.com, or by calling etix toll-free at 1-800-514-3849.
The ticket sale is taking place on Friday instead of the customary Saturday as a convenience for those who may be traveling for the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Pitbull, born Armando Christian Perez, is a globally successful musician, performer, business entrepreneur, fashion icon and actor whose career sales have exceeded 5 million albums and over 60 million singles worldwide. Pitbull has had #1 hits in more than 15 countries, his videos have been viewed more than 3 billion times and his social reach matches audiences of some television networks around the world.
Pitbull’s latest album, Global Warming: Meltdown features the hit singles “Feel This Moment” with Christina Aguilera, “Don’t Stop The Party,” “Back In Time” from the action-comedy Men in Black 3, and his second #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, “Timber,” featuring Ke$ha. Pitbull’s world tours have sold out concerts in North and South America, Europe, and the Far East.
This year, he was also selected along with Jennifer Lopez and Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte to perform the official anthem “We Are One (Ole Ola)” at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
“We’re very excited to have an artist of Pitbull’s stature at the Grandstand this year. We believe it highlights the diverse and inclusive lineup of artists we’re bringing to the 2014 New York State Fair. And everyone knows that where Pitbull goes, the party goes, too. I encourage everyone to come enjoy the Fair and top it off with a night with ‘Mr. Worldwide’,” said Waffner.
