Organic Production Guides

New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets has funded the creation of 13 organic production guides for: apples, beans, blueberries, carrots, cole crops (cabbage, kale), cucurbits (melons, squashes, cucumbers), dairy, grapes, lettuces, peas, potatoes, spinach, strawberries and an organic harvest and storage manual. Current editions of the manuals can be found at the NYS Integrated Pest Management website.

The USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service continues to sponsor an Organic EQIP conservation program, as well as other conservation cost share programs.  Visit the USDA NY NRCS for more information on the programs and how to sign up.  Remember, even if there is no funding available one year, getting signed up and on the eligible list can help you receive funding in the following year.
