The CCE Gardening Helpline releases Winter hours.
Master Gardener Volunteers are ready to answer your garden and indoor or outdoor pest questions throughout the winter season.  Give them at call at 585-753-2555 from 9 a.m. until noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday.


Robert Wood Johnson Foundation: Announces a Call for Proposals
A call for proposals is being made for Evidence for Action: Investigator-Initiated Research to Build a Culture of Health, which is a program supporting evidence-based research necessary to build a culture where health is central. Every year, approximately $2.2 million funds 5-12 projects each year. Many of past award recipients have integrated community gardening practices into their strategy.

Environmental Solutions for Communities Grant Program - Request for Proposals for 2016
$25,000-$100,000 from Wells Fargo and National Fish and Wildlife Foundation is available for an 18 month completion of a conservation project. Geographic priority in New York State is in New York City.  States, municipalities, nonprofits, local governments, educational institutions and Indian reservations are eligible to apply.

Smucker’s Foodservice - 2016 Grant
Calling all Foodservice Directors and School Administrators to apply to establish a school garden! Smucker’s is offering the first 25 schools a gardening kit with seeds and brochures and the grand prize of $5,000 to 3 schools to create a school garden.

Citizens Committee for New York City- Neighborhood Improvement Grant, 2016
