Undeclared Eggs and Soy in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream
New York State Agriculture Commissioner Patrick Hooker today alerted consumers that Battenkill Valley Creamery LLC, 691 County Route 30, Salem, New York, 12865, is voluntarily recalling all Cookie Dough Ice Cream sold in 1-quart, 1-pint and 12 ounce containers due to undeclared allergens, specifically eggs and soy.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs and/or soy run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.
The Cookie Dough Ice Cream was made available at the farmís storefront in Salem, New York.
This problem was discovered during a routine label review conducted by New York State Agriculture and Marketsí dairy inspectors.
No illnesses have been reported to date to this Department in connection with this recall.
