Media Advisory - Commissioner to Observe Hail Damage in Wayne County
Wednesday, June 18 at 3:30 pm at Van De Walle Farm in Alton
New York State Agriculture Commissioner Patrick Hooker will tour Van de Walle Farms in Alton tomorrow to observe damage to agricultural crops from a hail storm that hit much of New York State yesterday. Farmers from Niagara County to the Hudson Valley are reporting significant damage to crops including apples, fresh vegetables, grapes, corn and others. Yesterday’s hail storm is considered to be one of New York’s worst in recent years.
