Arbor Day Celebration at West Capitol Park - Media Advisory

Friday, April 30 at 12:00 Noon Between Alfred E. Smith Building & State Capitol

Several state agency commissioners as well as members of New York’s green industry will gather at the West Capitol Park in Albany tomorrow at noon to celebrate Arbor Day. 

Arbor Day is a nationally celebrated observance that encourages tree planting and tree care and highlights the importance of trees to our environment, our economy and our quality of life.  This year’s ceremony will feature the unveiling of the 2010 Arbor Day poster, a ceremonial tree planting in the Park, and numerous green industry awards.
