“The Pride of New York Harvest Fest is a wonderful opportunity for people to sample some of the tastiest things farmers have to offer,” said Dean Norton, New York Farm Bureau President.  “It also highlights the benefits of buying local and supporting local agriculture in this state, the backbone of the rural economy.  Commissioner Aubertine and the State of New York should be commended for once again throwing a great event for all to enjoy.”

“We’re delighted that the Department of Agriculture & Markets is again sponsoring the Pride of New York Harvest Fest at the State Fair, and that New York wineries will be an integral part of it,” said Jim Trezise, President of the New York Wine and Grape Foundation.  “Being able to connect directly with consumers is vital to the marketing of wine and the other farm products that will be showcased, and the late fall is a perfect time for New Yorkers to discover the wonderful bounty right from their own back yards.  Commissioner Aubertine and the Department staff deserve enormous credit for their promotion of New York agriculture.”
