Coming Soon to the State Fairgrounds

State Agriculture Commissioner Darrel J. Aubertine today announced that the following events will be coming soon to the New York State Fairgrounds.

Beginning Friday, Nov. 30 and continuing through Sunday, Dec. 2 the Syracuse Holiday Crafts Spectacular will bring 125 artists to the Fairgrounds’ Horticulture Building. Admission is $5 for adults, while admission is free for children 12 and under. Event hours are from noon to 8 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The Talent Co. presents the true story “Always…Patsy Cline,” appearing at the Empire Theater. This show tells the story of the legendary friendship of Patsy Cline with a worshipful fan from Houston named Louise Seger. This rollicking musical comedy includes many of Patsy’s unforgettable hits including “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “You Belong To Me,” “I Fall to Pieces,” “Sweet Dreams,” “She’s Got You,” “True Love,” “Walkin’ After Midnight,” “Anytime,” and of course, “Crazy.” Becky Bottrill is reprising what has become her signature role as legendary performer Patsy Cline. Sing along with over 24 of the tunes that made her famous, and get ready to dance in your seats with a live, foot-stomping seven-piece band and backup singers known as “The Bodacious Bobcats,” featuring Syracuse’s own “John Cadley & The Lost Boys.” Showtimes this weekend are Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for general admission. Senior citizen and student tickets are $23 while admission for children 12 and under is $20. Ticket information can be found on the event website at
