Major Seating Changes for Luke Bryan’s Grandstand Concert

Tickets on Sale Saturday Morning for County Superstar’s Show

(Editors:  Note that two graphics have been provided.  One shows the customary Grandstand seat layout and the other shows the layout with the Luke Bryan concert “thrust” stage incorporated.  The map is NOT drawn to scale or to shape.  Seats to the left and right of center in the Flat Track section, for example, tend to be angled towards the stage.)

The New York State Fair box office and online outlet open Saturday morning to sell tickets for the Thursday, August 29 show by American Country Music Awards Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan at the Grandstand.

Ticket sales begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 1, Commissioner of the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, Darrel J. Aubertine, announced. Tickets are available at the Fair’s box office, located at the main gate of the Fairgrounds, or through the Fair’s official and only online ticket retailer, Etix.com.  The box office closes at noon Saturday. Tickets are $70, 60, and 50.

Thompson Square and Kelleigh Bannen will open for Luke Bryan.

CHANGES IN SEATING

Luke Bryan’s stage show incorporates an extended stage, called a thrust.  The thrust is a pair of runways in the shape of a cross that juts out from the center of the stage front and into the seating area.  As a result, there are significant changes in seating in the areas that are traditionally closest to the stage.

On the standard layout map of the Grandstand, the three sections closest to the stage -- sections X1, X2, and X3 on the Flat Track -- will be eliminated in order to make room for the runways.  Tickets in those areas will not be sold for this concert.  Seats in all other sections will be sold.

ABOUT TICKET SALES

Prices are the same whether tickets are bought online or in person at the box office.  A $3.75 service fee will be added to all tickets.  An additional fee will be charged for the use of a credit card.  Most major credit cards are accepted.  Your advance-sale concert ticket includes admission to the Fair.

Parking for box office sales is available in the Brown lot beginning at 5:30 a.m.  Lineup can begin at 6 a.m. Tickets for people with special needs and one companion – this includes those who are hearing impaired, use a wheelchair or have difficulty climbing stairs – will go on sale at the same time as general seating tickets. Parking for people with disabilities who have either the proper license plate or hanging tag will be available via Gate 2.
