New York State Fair Extends Box Office Hours

The Great New York State Fair box office is now open longer hours, including evening hours, to provide more service to Fairgoers.

The box office is open from now until the Fair’s opening day, August 22, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Items available at the box office include:

  • Advance sale admission tickets for $6, which provide a 40% savings over the $10 price of admission during the Fair;
  • Cards providing $24 worth of ride credits on the Strates Shows Midway for $14, a 40% discount;
  • The Fair’s Best Bets Bargain Book for $4, which offers 100 coupons for use at the Fair and beyond with a value of $3,000, at a 20% discount over the price during the Fair;
  • Tickets to any announced Grandstand concert and, after August 15, to the All Star Monster Truck Show and the New York State Championship Demolition Derby.

People wishing to buy tickets at the box office during the week may enter the Fairgrounds at Gate 2.  They will then be directed to the box office.

The New York State Fair runs from August 22 September 2, 2013.  The Fair’s theme is “Sharing the Bounty and Pride of New York.”

In addition to the annual New York State Fair, the Fairgrounds host dozens of agricultural events throughout the year, including some of the Northeast’s most prestigious horse and livestock shows.

The home of the Great New York State Fair is a 375-acre exhibit and entertainment complex that operates all year. A year-round schedule of events is available on the Fair’s website.  Find The Great New York State Fair on Facebook or follow NYS Fair on Twitter.
