Many Sponsors Power the New York State Fair

From Local Shops to International Powerhouses, Companies Sign On for the Fair

New York State Agriculture Commissioner Darrel J. Aubertine today announced that more than two dozen companies, from local stores to international conglomerates, are sponsoring the New York State Fair this year. Sponsors provide much needed support to ensure the State Fair is a success.

“It’s always gratifying to see such a diverse group of sponsors for an event, especially something as major as the New York State Fair,” Commissioner Aubertine said. “I want to thank all of the companies for participating in the nation’s first state fair and I look forward to visiting their displays.”

The New York State Fair runs from August 22 September 2, 2013.  The Fair’s theme is “Sharing the Bounty and Pride of New York.”  Advance sale tickets that save 40% off the price at the gate are available across the state.  Visit for a full list of locations to buy advance sale tickets, as well as discount cards for midway rides and the Best Bets Bargain Book of money-saving coupons at Fair venues.  These items, as well as tickets to Grandstand concerts, are also available at the State Fair box office, which is open Monday Wednesday from 9 a.m. 7 p.m. and Thursday Friday from 9 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

In addition to the annual New York State Fair, the Fairgrounds host dozens of agricultural events throughout the year, including some of the Northeast’s most prestigious horse and livestock shows.
