Reminder: Tickets on Sale This Weekend for Train with the Wallflowers

The New York State Fair box office and online outlet will be open Saturday morning to sell tickets to the Tuesday, August 26 concert by Train at the Grandstand.  Train is known for its chart-topping hits “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me),” “Meet Virginia,” “Drive By,” and others.  The Wallflowers, fronted by Jakob Dylan, open for Train.

Ticket sales begin at 9:00 a.m. both at the box office, located at the main gate of the Fairgrounds along State Fair Boulevard in the town of Geddes, and at the Fair’s only official online ticket seller,  Tickets are $55, $45, and $35.  The box office closes at noon.  Tickets can also be purchased by phone, at 1 (800) 514-3849, option 1.

Tickets remain available for the Thursday, August 21 concert by Brad Paisley with Randy Houser, Charlie Worsham, and Leah Turner. A limited number of tickets remain available for the Saturday, August 30 concert by Jason Aldean with Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr. is the Fair’s official and only online ticket selling agent.  Ticket prices are the same whether tickets are bought online at or in person at the box office.  A $3.75 service fee will be added to the price of all tickets.  An additional fee will be charged for the use of a credit card.  Most major credit cards are accepted.  Your advance-sale concert ticket includes admission to the Fair.  

Parking for box office sales is available in the Brown lot beginning at 5:30 a.m.  Lineup can begin at 6 a.m. Tickets for people who require wheelchair accessible seating or who have mobility disabilities, or those who are hearing impaired will go on sale at the same time as general seating tickets. Convenient parking for people with disabilities who have either the proper license plate or hanging tag will be available via Gate 2.

The New York State Fair, operated by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, runs from August 21 September 1, 2014.  Its mission is to showcase the best of New York agriculture while providing top-quality entertainment.  The theme of the 2014 Fair is “Summer’s Best in Show.”
