Media Advisory: State and Local Officials to Cut the Ribbon on the New Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources at SUNY Cobleskill
On Friday, October 24, State officials and invited guests will cut the ribbon on SUNY Cobleskill’s new Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources. This four-story, 93,000 square foot building will transform the north side of the campus, housing 14 state-of-the-art laboratories for plant and animal sciences, a USDA inspected meat processing facility, four energy efficient greenhouses, an 1,865 square foot tropical plant conservatory, and four cold and warm water fish hatcheries.
This new facility at SUNY Cobleskill will not only help increase awareness about agriculture among students, but will also help foster a new wave of hands-on training to make sure that the next generation is prepared for the future of New York agriculture.
