On Thursday, March 12, State Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball will be hosting a press conference in Binghamton to unveil plans for a $30 million Southern Tier Agricultural Economic Development Initiative, which is included in Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s 2015-16 Executive Budget. The Southern Tier’s agricultural sector has a breadth of diversity and great potential for growth. This new initiative will help farmers and agribusinesses in the region harness that potential, while creating jobs and opportunities throughout the region.
