Agriculture Commissioner Continues State’s Taste NY Culinary Tours on Long Island
Tomorrow, Saturday, August 22, Chefs and Restaurateurs will Tour Farms and Processors in Suffolk County
State Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball will join regional restaurateurs and chefs in touring four farms and processors on Long Island as part of the state’s Taste NY Culinary Tours. The Culinary Tours were created as a result of Governor Cuomo’s Upstate-Downstate Summit in an effort to connect restaurateurs with regional producers and growers, and highlight the many opportunities for the sourcing of local foods.
The four stops on the tour will be Schmitt Farms (vegetables), Browder’s Birds (poultry), Catapano Dairy Farm (goat cheese), and Widow’s Hole Oyster Farm (oysters).

(Tour begins at 12:30 p.m. at the first stop and concludes at 6 p.m.)
