Agriculture Commissioner Continues State’s Taste NY Culinary Tours in the Hudson Valley

Monday, October 5, Chefs and Restaurateurs from Across the State will Tour Farms and Processors in the Region

WHAT:

    State Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball will join restaurateurs and chefs in touring farms and processors in the Hudson Valley as part of the state’s Taste NY Culinary Tour.  The Culinary Tour was created as a result of Governor Cuomo’s Upstate-Downstate Summit in an effort to connect restaurateurs with regional producers, and highlight the many opportunities for the sourcing of local foods.

    The three stops on the tour will be Hepworth Farms in Milton, Ulster County (vegetables), Bad Seed Cider in Highland, Ulster County (cider), Hudson Valley Fresh in Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County (dairy farm).  The group will also visit and tour the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, Dutchess County.

    Monday, October 5
    Tour begins at 10:30 a.m. at the first stop and concludes at 6 p.m.
