Pop Star Taylor Dayne Brings Her String of Hits to Chevy Court at the Great New York State Fair

Taylor Dayne will bring her signature hit, “Tell It to My Heart,” and the rest of her top-of-the-charts portfolio of danceable pop music to Chevy Court at the Great New York State Fair for a 2 p.m. show on Wednesday, August 30, Acting Director Troy Waffner announced today.

Dayne became a sensation in 1987 with the title track from the double platinum selling album “Tell It to My Heart,” following it with two more number one singles in “Love Will Lead You Back” and “Prove Your Love to Me.”  She toured with Michael Jackson and Prince on the strength of those songs, and several others that landed in the top 10. Since then, she’s landed song after song on the Billboard dance music charts, a testament to her ability to find a groove everyone can dance to.  Dayne was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2011, where she is recognized alongside Billy Joel and Joan Jett.

“Taylor Dayne is a native New Yorker who can show all New Yorkers how to have fun.  We’re looking forward to her debut appearance at the Fair and think anyone coming to this show should bring their dancing shoes,” said Waffner.

Dayne’s show takes place on Wade Shows Wednesday, when a special promotion on the Wade Shows Midway will provide a wristband for 10 rides for $10.  Wristbands do not include the new Skyride.

Taylor Dayne joins a star-studded and diverse lineup that includes:

  • 3 Doors Down, 8 pm, August 23
  • Peter Noone, 2 pm, August 28
  • The Marshall Tucker Band, 2 pm, August 29

Concerts at Chevy Court are sponsored by Chevrolet.
