First-Ever Taste NY Experience Featuring Top New York State Craft Beverage Alcohol Producers at Pier A on Wednesday, May 24
To Celebrate Upcoming Taste NY Wine & Spirits Shop Opening, More Than 50 Local Spirits, Wine, Beer and Cider Artisans to Showcase Their Finest Liquid Offerings
We cordially invite you to the first-ever Taste NY Experience at Pier A Harbor House in Battery Park on Wednesday, May 24. It crowns a partnership between Taste NY and Pier A Harbor House and spotlights top New York City and New York State producers of spirits, wine, beer and cider. Pier A is one of New York City’s most iconic and historic landmarks where New York Harbor joins the Hudson River, with the Statue of Liberty as the backdrop.
The Taste NY Experience includes a walk-around tasting featuring a curation of the Empire State’s top quality tipples and regional bites from local purveyors. More than 50 producers from New York City, the Finger Lakes, Long Island, Hudson Valley, Capital Region and Western New York will be featured.

The event is open to the public with tickets starting at $75 for General Admission and $125 for VIP Admission, which includes early access and a cocktail demonstration by The Dead Rabbit’s Melissa Markert. Tickets are available at https://www.tastenyexperience.com/public-event/.
Participating New York spirits, wine, beer and cider producers include Bedell Cellars, Breuckelen Distilling, Brooklyn Cider House, Brooklyn Winery, Descendant Cider, Finger Lakes Distillery, Kings County Brewers Collective, Kings County Distillery, Macari Vineyards, New York Distilling Co., Saratoga Brewing, Van Brunt Stillhouse, Yonkers Brewing and more.
Participating New York food artisans include Cabot Creamery, Chobani, Mercer’s Wine Ice Cream, Orwasher’s, Seaway Trail Honey and more.

Taste NY is an initiative launched by Governor Cuomo in 2013 to promote New York’s food and beverage industries. It is overseen by the Department of Agriculture and Markets and has created opportunities for local producers to showcase their goods at a variety of venues throughout the State and at large public events, such as the Great New York State Fair and the Barclays Tournament at Bethpage State Park.
Over the last three years, the Taste NY initiative has seen steady growth and recognition. The program reported sales of $4.5 million in 2015 and nearly tripled those figures to more than $13.1 million in 2016.
