Rising Hip Hop Trio Migos to Perform at Chevy Court at the 2017 Great New York State Fair
The Atlanta-based hip hop trio Migos debuts on the Chevy Court stage at the 2017 Great New York State Fair at 8 pm on Sunday, September 3, Acting Director Troy Waffner said.
Migos have taken the music world by storm; their seminal album C U L T U R E, released via Quality Control Music/300 Entertainment, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Charts, has already been streamed over 1 billion times and is RIAA certified Platinum. Their single “Bad and Boujee” has not only hit #1 on the Billboard charts and received an RIAA Platinum certification, but also has become immortalized as a symbol of modern pop culture. Members Quavo, Offset and Takeoff erupted onto the scene back in 2009 with a sound that blends the authentic tradition of ATL hip-hop with their signature flow and earworm hooks unlike anything else. With national performances on live television such as “Saturday Night Live” with Katy Perry, “Ellen” and “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and a spot alongside Future on the recently wrapped sold out “Nobody Safe” arena tour already under their belt this year alone, Migos are bringing the culture everywhere they go.
“We’re excited to bring Migos here as it demonstrates our commitment to providing the most diverse lineup possible, providing music for all ages and tastes. This group is on a fast ride to stardom and hip hop fans need to be here to see why these young men are topping the music charts,” said Waffner.
All concerts at Chevy Court are free with your admission. Chevrolet’s sponsorship makes possible the best lineup of free national touring acts at any state fair.
