Media Advisory: New York State Kicks Off NY Thursdays Locally Sourced School Lunch Program


New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets joins Broome-Tioga BOCES to kick off the very first locally sourced NY Thursdays lunch program in Upstate New York.

With support from the State’s Farm-to-School Program, five districts in Broome and Tioga Counties will serve food sourced from Southern Tier farms and processors to their more than 10,000 students.  The Farm-to-School Program supports the region’s Southern Tier Soaring economic development plan.
