Updated - Media Advisory: New York State Kicks Off NY Thursdays Locally Sourced School Lunch Program
WHAT:New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets joins Broome Tioga BOCES to kick off the very first locally sourced NY Thursdays lunch program in Upstate New York.
With support from the State’s Farm-to-School Program, five districts in Broome and Tioga Counties will serve food sourced from Southern Tier farms and processors to their more than 10,000 students. The Farm-to-School Program supports the region’s Southern Tier Soaring economic development plan.
